This newest curriculum released by Kindermusik International has been developed as a result of a direct shift in the educational research that has been conducted over the past 10 years - research that confirms that preschool-age children thrive on participatory, expressive learning. Through activities such as singing, instrument play, creative dancing, listening, rhyming and storytelling, Imagine That! fosters a child's socialization, emotional growth, independence, problem solving, self-expression and begin to learn to take ownership of their learning. Specially designed home materials allow parents to extend class activities into the home. The 2008 winter semester of Imagine That! Toys I Make, Trips I Take is designed to bring a young child's vivid imagination to life. Imagine the eyes of a young child lighting up as she enters an amazing toy shop filled with boats, trains, teddy bears, jack-in-the-box and many other delights. Better yet, imagine a toy boat coming to life and taking that child to a beautiful tropical island. Or a train that takes her wherever she dreams to go. Toys I Make, Trips I Take is focused on creating a stimulating musical environment that integrates music, pretend play, story telling movement, and more. Imagine That! Kindermusik Imagine That! classes are comprised of 15-week non-sequential
semesters consisting of 45-minute lessons. Parents are invited to attend
during the last 10-15 minutes of class for Sharing Time. Parent involvement
and musical learning at home is further encouraged with Imagine That!
At Home materials and activities including music CDs, a Family Activity
Book, two illustrated literature books, a play set, and a specially designed
instrument. |
